GUWAHATI: Repeated incidents of stealing and robbery are being reported from the Fire Brigade Lane in Chatribari area of Guwahati. Four cases of trespassing and house burglary by miscreants have surfaced.
G Plus spoke to Harjeet Sodhi, into whose house burglars attempted to enter late in these past nights. "For the last three and four days, there have been instances of people attempting to break in at night. Back on Tuesday, burglars attempted to enter my place at about 3 AM. My mobile was gone after that."
There have been four cases: one on the first floor of Mr. Sodhi's apartment, the second on the third floor and two other incidents in the neighbourhood.
"One of the neighbours had lost four mobiles and one laptop after thieves came and used some kind of spray to make them senseless. They even beat their kid with a stick to check whether he had lost consciousness. All of these incidents are connected to some gangs," said Sodhi.
Meanwhile, G Plus spoke to the investigating officer in Paltan Bazar, who revealed that "investigation is under process." “The involved parties may be operating from Dhirenpara but they know the area well and scrutinise it in the morning," added the officer.
