GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, a young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Guwahati on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Rebika Thaodam, a resident of Ganesh Mandir Path, Rupnagar. Rebika who hailed from Manipur was found hanging at her rented house.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has filed a complaint against Rohit Saikia, a resident of Lakhimpur who is thought to have been in an alleged relationship with Rebika.
Officials informed that during preliminary investigations into the matter, they found out that the two were in a romantic relationship for the past one-and-a-half years.
Speaking to G Plus, a Bhangagarh Police Official mentioned that, "The incident was reported at around 2:48 AM, the accused is in detention and details of the incident will be ascertained after the post-mortem report".
