GUWAHATI: A man in Guwahati has shot himself with his own gun. The incident occurred at Hatigaon Chariali of the city.

The man, Prakash Gupta, originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh and was residing in Guwahati. The matter was informed to G Plus by the Hatigaon Police Station Officer in Charge (OC) Biren Deka. "We are investigating the matter and it is presumed the man had a licensed gun," said Deka.
As per the initial inquest, the police have claimed the matter to be alleged suicide. Further details await regarding the death of the man.
