GUWAHATI: A man named Sanatan Deb Sharma fainted while stepping out of a city bus in Lal Ganesh, Guwahati.

This happened just after Sanatan Deb had withdrawn money from the State Bank of India, Panbazar. A sum of Rs 2.50 lakh went missing from his bag after he fell to the ground. He was lifted by the locals and was admitted to Nemcare Hospitals in Guwahati, where he remained unconscious.
As per sources in the Police, Sanatan Deb might have been drugged by someone who saw him take out the money.
G Plus spoke to the Officer in Charge (OC) of Panbazar Police Station who confirmed the matter. "We have started an investigation and we believe he was drugged. We will check out the CCTV footage today and take a statement from him after he gains consciousness", the official stated.
