GUWAHATI: The peripheries of the Geeta Mandir Temple in Guwahati and the road leading to it have been shrouded in darkness. The streetlights installed on the road towards the temple are broken down. The Puja Committee members have raised the issue but the situation has not yet been resolved.
Inside the temple, there are visible cracks on the walls. The CCTV installed has remained non-functional.

G Plus spoke to a local, Kamala Choudhury, who said that the area has become unsafe for the girls while returning from tuitions or work. The Zoo-Narengi Chhatra Parishad (students' union) has stated that the government has mismanaged the entire area.
Meanwhile, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has reverted that the concern has been looked at and a survey has been done to take note of the problem.
