GUWAHATI: The much awaited Kaun Banega Crorepati episode starring Guwahati's Binita Jain aired on Sony Television tonight.
While everyone was glued to their television screens waiting for her to take the hot seat next to Amitabh Bachchan, Tata Sky subscribers in most parts of the city missed the whole episode.
For reasons unknown, while other operators like Airtel were perfectly screening Sony Entertainment Television, Tata Sky failed to do so.
The channel flashed a pop up asking customers to give a miss-call from their registered mobile number.
Customers have alleged that even after multiple miss-calls on the number provided, the channel was unavailable for them to view.
Edit: However, Tata Sky, in a Twitter Post has issued a clarification on the same.
"Tata Sky has dropped 27 channels and services from its platform from October 1 (00:00 hours). Commercial negotiations with Sony broke down because what they were seeking would have forced us to hike our prices,"
