GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam has issued an official order to close Gate B (located near the water tank) of Janata Bhawan, Dispur, with immediate effect, as of an order passed on July 19.
The decision comes as a measure to address exigencies and ensure the smooth functioning of essential government activities.
Janata Bhawan, the seat of the Assam government, witnesses a significant influx of officials, employees, and visitors daily.
The closure of Gate B, which serves as one of the entry points to the government complex, is aimed at streamlining the movement of people and facilitating efficient operations within the premises.
