GUWAHATI: The Assam Amateur Boxing Association (AABA) is all set to host the highly anticipated Inter-District Boxing Championship at the prestigious Ulubari Boxing Club in Kacharibasti from July 25 to July 29.
The championship promises to be a thrilling display of skill, strength, and determination from talented boxers across the state.
The inauguration ceremony will be presided over by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma along with Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Nandita Garlosa, highlighting the government's support for the development of sports in this region.
The championship is set to draw considerable attention with a remarkable participation of 500 individuals hailing from 30 districts across Assam.
The event aims to attract both junior and senior boxers, encompassing boys and girls.
This will also serve as a stepping stone for boxers aspiring to compete at the national level.
The exceptional performances witnessed during the event will help identify and nurture promising talent, allowing them to represent Assam on the national stage.
