GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police seized heroin at Ganeshguri Chariali in Guwahati on Monday, May 28.

Acting on a tip-off that some peddlers from Manipur were camping at Dispur Guest House at Ganeshguri Chariali and were selling the contraband to various peddlers/ vendees of Kamrup, STF, seized 14 soap boxes containing as many as 14 packets of heroin weighing 196 gms without cover.
Four peddlers (three males and a female) were also apprehended.
The arrested included a minor whose identity was not disclosed as per legal norms. The other three have been identified as Zeenatun Nisha (53), Abdul Barik (46), and Aza Khan (35). Neccessary legal formalities are being initiated.
