GUWAHATI: A man working at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) was found dead on October 13, 2022, in a guest house in Bhangagarh. The deceased Papu Das (34) had been working as an ICU technician at the CN Center of GMCH and was a boarder at the guest house. Das was a resident of Nalbari.
Speaking to G Plus, the Officer-in-Charge of the Bhangagarh Police Station said that Papu was found dead on his bed in a sleeping position by one of his paying guest (PG) mates. The police were informed about his death on Thursday evening at around 6 PM.
According to media reports, Papu Das committed suicide by injecting an unknown substance, as he was in a state of depression after having a fight with a high official at GMCH. However, according to Bhangagarh Police, the reason for his death is yet to be ascertained.
The body of the deceased was sent to the GMCH for the post-mortem. Further details are awaited.
