Guwahati Girl to Witness Republic Day Parade from Prime Minister's Box

GUWAHATI: A girl from Guwahati, Purbi Jain, has been selected to witness the Republic Day Parade from the Prime Minister’s Box in Rajpath. Purabi is a Class 11 student of Royal Global School, Guwahati.


Purbi was selected among the 50 meritorious students all over India by the Directorate of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.  Every year, the Ministry selects 50 meritorious students from all over the country to witness the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath.

"You have been selected this year to witness the Republic Day Parade, 2021 from the Prime Minister's Box at Rajpath, New Delhi," read the invitation letter from the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.


Purabi scored total marks of 598 out of 600 during the CBSE class 10 board exams, scoring the highest in the district. She did her schooling from St. Claret School, Borjhar, Guwahati. 


Speaking to G Plus about Purbi's selection, Senior Coordinator of Royal Global School Binita Jain said, "It is a matter of great honour and pride for our school that she has been chosen among the 50 meritorious students across India to witness the Republic Day parade from the Prime Minister's box. We wish Purbi many more such accolades and success in her life."
