GUWAHATI: Harsha Singha from Guwahati won the team silver medal in the Over-30 female category at the 2024 Asian Taekwondo Championships held from May 14 to May 16, at Da Nang, Vietnam.

Singha, aged 31, managed to clinch the team silver along with her two teammates, Usha from Mumbai and Sita from Assam Rifles. Singha was also placed 5th individually at the Under-40 in Taekwondo Poomsae at the same event.
Talking to GPlus, Harsha said, “As we know, Asia is the powerhouse of Taekwondo talent and the best players come from all the Asian countries. Our final with Vietnam was the well-fought one, and the overall competition level was outstanding.”
Singha, previously a gold and bronze medalist at the 2019 South Asia Games, is now gearing up to participate in the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship to be held in Hong Kong in November
