Guwahati Gears Up For FIFA Qualifier Between India And Afghanistan on March 26

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam Football Association (AFA) is rallying football enthusiasts behind the Indian national team, also known as the Blue Tigers, as they prepare for a crucial showdown against Afghanistan for FIFA qualifier, on March 26.

Set to unfold at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati, the match holds significant implications for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027 Joint Qualifiers Round 2.

Talking to the media, AFA Secretary Sangrang Brahma called upon the residents of Guwahati, Assam, and the wider Northeast region to unite in adorning the stadium in shades of blue, showcasing their unwavering backing for the national squad.

Tickets for the event are available on BookMyShow, with prices ranging from ₹200 to ₹4,000. Additionally, corporate box tickets priced at ₹4,000 offer a premium viewing experience. With approximately 22,000 tickets on offer, spectators can expect ample seating arrangements.


Team India is scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on March 23, followed by the Afghanistan team later the same day. Both squads will undergo training sessions at the SAI ground in Paltan Bazar and the practice ground at the Sarusajai Sports Complex.

Scheduled to commence at 7 P.M., the match will be broadcast live on JioCinema
