GUWAHATI: Assam Livestock and Poultry Development Corporation distributed free backyard poultry among more than 100 unemployed youths.
In a programme held at the Khanapara office of the corporation on 17th July, Chairman of the Corporation Manoj Saikia said that for a sound financial health of the State, it is important to strengthen the rural economy, which is possible through poultry farming.
“In the past one year, the Corporation has trained more than 7,000 unemployed youths and farmers, and have helped them in getting the bank loans,” he added.
