GUWAHATI: Pritam Brahma, an under-10 football prodigy from Guwahati City FC (GCFC) has received a signed jersey from Arsenal's No. 10 Mesut Ozil.
Brahma was selected for his impressive performance in the Guwahati Baby Leagues. The Baby League is a tournament approved by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), which is held throughout the country for ages 6 to 12. The AIFF had approached the German World Cup winner for 10 jerseys to be awarded to the top players among the hundreds of Baby League tournaments being organised pan India.

Speaking to G Plus, Kaustav Chakraborty, co-founder of GCFC said, "We got the opportunity to nominate one player for the special award. Pritam was selected after due consultation from all the coaches for his playing abilities. He's an upcoming Guwahati football player from Sonaighulli".
The award from the Arsenal maestro is significant to Pritam as, like Ozil, Pritam too contributed both by scoring and assisting throughout the season to ensure the title.
