GUWAHATI: A massive fire broke out at the Fancy Bazar area of Guwahati in the wee hours of September 8.
The fire broke out in the parking area of JBs restaurant located at MG Road in Fancy Bazar and also spread to the nearby settlements.
The fire completely gutted four two-wheelers that were parked in front of the restaurant. As per officials in the fire and emergency service department, the fire caused a property loss of around Rs 10,00,000.
“On 8 September at 2:43 AM, fire took place in the parking area in front of JBs restaurant Fancy Bazar. The source of the fire is unknown. However, preliminary reports suggest short circuit,” Jayshree Khersa, APS, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services informed G Plus.
She further added that a fire fighting vehicles was pressed to douse the fire, which was quickly brought to control.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
