GUWAHATI: A fire broke out at a residential building in Ashok Path in the Beltola, Survey area of Guwahati on February 23 at around 7:24 PM.
The incident, which occurred at House No. 44 on Ashok Path.

The fire, located on the ground floor of a G+1 building, was successfully extinguished. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Property worth ₹10,00,000 was damaged in the fire.
The owner of the property, Kalyan Bhagwati, resides at the aforementioned address.

According to an official statement given to GPlus by a Dispur F&ESS official, the fire was brought under control with the assistance of two fire brigades from Dispur. The situation was contained by approximately 9:00 PM.
According to reports, the inferno was caused due to LPG cylinder blast. Further details are awaited.
