GUWAHATI: On Tuesday, July 12, an FIR was filed by Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Abhijit Sarma, against a fake verification of a referral medical certificate.
The case is based on a verification and referral medical certificate that was submitted on June 8 to the Under Secretary of the Irrigation Department with the alleged signature of Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College, which turned out to be fake. The referral certificate was issued in the name of Manjubala Narah and Junu Saikia.
Abhijit Sarma in his FIR said, “With reference to the subject and Email cited above, I would like to inform you that we have received a Email dtd. 07.07.2022 from D. Roy Chowdhury, Under Secretary (Estt) to the Govt of Assam, Irrigation Deptt., Dispur, Guwahati-6. Upon enquiry we have found that the letter No MCH/RMB/128/642 dtd. 08.06.2022 in favor of Manjubala Narah W/o Amar Singh Narah and Junu Saikia, W/o Prabhat Chandra Tamuli are not in our record.
I am submitting herewith photocopy of all the documents received from D. Roy Chowdhury, Under Secretary (Estt) to the Govt of Assam, Irrigation Deptt., Dispur, Guwahati-6 for information and necessary action.”
