GUWAHATI: In a recent crackdown on drug peddlers and individuals involved in the trade of stolen property, a raid was conducted at the dump in Bhagadattapur, Beltola, under the jurisdiction of Dispur Police Station by the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of two habitual offenders.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 19-year-old Akash Ali and 25-year-old Md. Jainal Ali, both from Nopara Pump in Mukalmua, located in Kamrup district.
The raid yielded a substantial haul, including 50 vials containing suspected heroin weighing approximately 64.5 grams, ₹12,000 in cash, six mobile phones suspected to be stolen, 900 empty vials, and a two-wheeler.
This operation is part of a broader effort to combat drug trafficking and property crimes in the region, with further investigations underway.
