GUWAHATI: As per CAG Report by the Government of Assam, Guwahati Development Department (GDD) has failed to show the utilization certificate of around Rs 387 crores.
The last date for submission of the utilisation certificate was 25th November 2019 following which the Government of Assam has stopped salaries of 6 DDOs for non submission of 58 utilization certificates.
The six administrative departments are, Home and Political Department, Education (Secondary) Department, Guwahati Development Department, Welfare of Minority Development Department, Agriculture Department and Planning and Development Department.
Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his twitter handle and stated, “adhering to principles of good governance and zero tolerance against non-compliance, I am glad to share that in a historic move Government of Assam has stopped salaries of 6 DDOs for non submission of 58 utilization certificates.“
