GUWAHATI: A dead body was found floating under the Bhetapara flyover in Guwahati. A huge crowd gathered along the area after the unidentified dead body was discovered.
The police intervened in the situation and the deceased was identified as one Satyajit Deka. He belonged to Lakhimandir area of Beltola and originally hailed from Nalbari.
G Plus spoke to Hatigaon Police Station Inspector Biren Deka who confirmed the identity of the person. "We have sent the body for post-mortem. Initial investigation suggests that he might have drowned in the Basistha waterfall," said Deka.

As per inquest, Deka had episodes of alcoholism, which might have been the cause of his drowning. Further details will be revealed upon completion of post-mortem.
