GUWAHATI: From next week onwards, incoming flight passengers shall undergo the COVID-19 test at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI Airport) in Guwahati instead of Sarusajai Stadium.

“COVID19 test for incoming flight passengers will be done in Guwahati Airport itself instead of Xarusajai,” announced Assam health and finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through a social media post on Wednesday, November 18.
He further informed that air passengers travelling within Assam and those travelling between northeast states will no longer require mandatory COVID-19 testing.
Under the current guidelines of the Assam government, all air passengers coming to Guwahati are being taken to the Sarusajai Stadium via a bus for a mandatory COVID-19 test. However, the latest announcement gives relaxation from the same.
