GUWAHATI: CID has arrested two people for the possession of drugs in Guwahati.

On the basis of a source input on 9th of December, a team of CID conducted a search at a rented house located at Arunodoy Path, Brindaban Nagar, Barsajai, Hatigaon, Guwahati and recovered 78 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of a man named Sultan Ali (32) of Katu Chak, Udalguri.

The suspected heroin has been seized by following necessary legal formalities in the presence of independent witnesses.
Accordingly, Sultan Ali and another person named Abbash Ali of Jhargaon, who is also an accomplice of Sultan, have been apprehended. In connection with this, a case has been registered at CID Police Station.
