GUWAHATI: A chain-snatching incident was reported in the Rajgarh locality of Guwahati on October 9.
According to an official statement from Chandmari Police Station, the incident occurred at 5:50 AM in the morning yesterday. The victim, identified as Momita Bora, was on her morning walk when two miscreants approached her and forcefully snatched her necklace.
One of the miscreants then pushed Bora back due to which she fell down and sustained major injuries on her leg, wrist, and hand. The victim then immediately filed an FIR at the Chandmari Police Station.
Speaking to GPlus, the official from Chandmari Police Station further stated, "From the victim's statement, we have just found that the miscreants were Hindi-speaking and we can only provide concrete information once the case has been cracked.”
As of now, the case is under investigation and further details are awaited.
