GUWAHATI: A bus ran over a man in Geetanagar area of the city on Sunday, September 29.
According to reports, a city bus rammed over the elderly person identified as Hemanta Kr. Goswami in the evening at around 4 PM.
Speaking to G Plus, Geetanagar (Traffic) ASI, Kalita said that the person died on the spot as soon as the bus hit the victim. The deceased was 84 years old.

The deceased is a resident of Navodaya Apartment in the Chinaki path in the Geetanagar area.
The body was later taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.
In the meanwhile the police have seized the vehicle and the driver into its custody.
Earlier on September 26 a woman was rammed over by a bus in the Paltan Bazar area.
