GUWAHATI: A man’s body was discovered on the railway tracks in the Bamunimaidan area of Guwahati on Thursday, November 7.

It has been identified to be that of one Nitul Nath, a shopkeeper. The deceased had visible injuries on his neck, raising doubts about a possible accident or foul play.
Local residents who came across the body informed the railway police. Upon arrival, officials cordoned off the area and began an investigation.
Talking to GPlus, a Railway police official said, “Nitul Nath, the deceased was a shopkeeper in Chandmari area and we suspect it may have been a case of suicide, but nothing is confirmed as of yet. The body has been sent for post-mortem and we can come to a conclusion only after that.”
