GUWAHATI: Two men on a motorbike snatched a gold chain from a woman after threatening her with a concealed sharp weapon on November 3 in Guwahati's Anil Nagar area.

According to media reports, the incident took place on Monday morning. The assailants, riding a two-wheeler had reportedly hidden the weapon under their jackets as they approached the woman.
The victim, identified as Mayuri Saikia, was reportedly on her way to work at Down Town Hospital when the incident occurred on By-lane 2.
Talking to the media, the victim stated, “I was on my way to work at around 7:50 AM when the two men approached me and threatened me with a sharp weapon like a dagger, as they snatched the chain around my neck and fled. There was only a girl around at a distance who was running towards me. I suspect they had been following me for a while but I had no idea. I will be filing an FIR after my work.”
