Guwahati Airport Is Now Operational Round The Clock

GUWAHATI: The Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport has now been made operational round the clock, the Guwahati International Airport Limited (GAIL) said. The new airport operator has lifted the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) from November 1, which restricted operational hours from 10 PM to 5 AM to cope with the growing demands of passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

LGBI airport has also started a special guest service called 'Pranaam', that enables passengers to subscribe to a special facilitation service at the Airport.
The Air Traffic movement recovery post COVID-19 closures at the Airport has crossed 87 percent, while passenger movement has reached 60 percent in the month of November in comparison to November 2019-20.

During the Puja season, passenger movement at LGBI airport shot as high as 79 percent, well above the country's average rate of 72 percent.

Authorities have stated that apart from air navigation facilities and Government services, other allied services including refueling of aircraft, terminal services, security cover, retail shops and F&B outlets have also been made operational round the clock.
