GUWAHATI: Five restaurants in the city have been issued a seven-day closure notice by the Food Safety Department for failing to abide by the Food Security Act, maintain basic hygiene standards in their premises and unauthorized operation.
The five restaurants include Punjab Cabin, Shubhraj Hotel and Restaurant, Hotel Crown, Basanti Hotel and Chakum Chakum Fast Food.

The restaurants have been instructed to improve their quality within the stipulated time period.
