In a first of its kind incident, a Green Corridor was being set up for critically ill Snigdharaag, a four year old infant, while he was taken to Ganga Ram Hospital of New Delhi from Guwahati. Snigdharaag Bhuyan was suffering from acute pneumonia and had to be rushed to Ganga Ram Hospital for advanced treatment.
On request of the hospital authority and the guardians of the ailing infant, Kamrup Metropolitan District administration and the Guwahati City Police facilitated a Green Corridor along the entire about 30 KM stretch from the Hospital to Guwahati Airport.
After 3 months long treatment at Ganga Ram Hospital Snigdharaag has recovered to a large extent and has returned back to Assam with his family.
From District Administartion to Assam Police and the city doctors, a lot of sources had played a vital role in Snigdharaag's recovery.
Speaking exclusively to GPlus, Snigdharaag's mother Madhusmita Saikia said, "With God's grace and the help of the people, my son has recovered to a large extent. He can breathe without any support today. But since he has suffered from a serious illness, the doctors have advised not to take any risk. A private machine is attached to his body for support. I want to thank the people of Assam and the entire nation who have helped me during the crisis. I am forever grateful to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Assam Police, and the media houses of the state who came forward together to offer help to my son."
