GUWAHATI: We have informally decided that doctors and nurses of private sector hospitals that have signed MoU with the state government shall get Rs 50 lakh insurance cover for coronavirus, informed Himanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister of Assam.
Earlier, the central government had announced Rs 50 lakh health insurance for all doctors, nurses, and paramedics staff at government hospitals.
The state government had extended the same insurance for 104 and 108 staff as well as for those in ambulance duty.
