GUWAHATI: Assam governor Prof.Jagdish Mukhi has imposed governor’s rule in Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD).
It is to be mentioned that the tenure of Hagrama Moohilary-led Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) ended on April 27.

Meanwhile, Assam governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has appointed Assam Government’s principal secretary Rajesh Prasad as the administrator of the BTC until a new council is formed.
Earlier, BTC polls scheduled for April 4 were postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak, however, Naba Hira Kumar Sarania, MP hinted that the election may likey take place in the month of September 2020.
