Goalpara district admin receives 330 reports on grievance redressal app

GUWAHATI: The Goalpara district administration has received 330 reports till now from the registered users of the Infrastructure Snapshot App, which was launched in December last year.

The Android-based app, which was launched by the district administration, is a convergence application developed specifically for infrastructure monitoring of public institutions like government offices, hospitals, health care centres, schools and Anganwadi centres.

Varnali Deka, Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara, informed that the residents can avail the application to inform the district administration about the status or non-implementation of various government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Grameen /Urban), Individual Household Latrines (IHHL) under DescriptionSwachh Bharat Mission and Public Water System Supervision (PWSS) Grant Program and public sites like municipality dustbins.

Speaking to G Plus, Deka said: “So far the response has been very good. People have been volunteering and sending us reports from across the district. We are also visiting colleges to create awareness about the app.”     

She added that once the people are mobilized, it will be easier to get the full picture about various infrastructure projects and schemes running in the district.

Officials informed that all complaints, suggestions and issues registered come to a control centre where they are sorted department wise and resolved.

Further, regular reviews are being held to check the action taken and anytime someone logs in a complaint or issue or just a status, an alert comes to the admin log in.
