GUWAHATI: The West Bengal Police were in for a surprise when they busted a sex racket in Siliguri recently.
One of the arrested teenage girls informed the police that she was from Assam and was illegally confined after being allegedly sold off by a mother-son duo in Guwahati.
According to the police, the teenage girl, who hails from Rangia in Kamrup (R) District also has a two-year-old child. She has been missing for the past two months.
A team of Assam Police has brought the girl and the child back to Assam on Wednesday. The police has started an investigation and is searching for the mother-son duo who allegedly sold the girl.
