GUWAHATI: Police have seized a consignment of ganja worth Rs 5 lac at Shukurberia in Rani near Assam-Meghalaya border on June 12.
The seizure was made by Rani police station along with BSF.
According to police, the consignment was caught when it was on its way to Meghalaya. Two cars, including a Maxiomo (AS-25AC-5695) and an Alto (ML 06 9080) were used to transport the consignment.

Police have detained two Meghalaya residents, Nongsten R Poster Marweng (30) and Myreng R Jordan Lengdoh (28), as well as two Assam-based individuals, Durga Munda (26) and Majuram Rabha (29) in connection with the seizure.
The detainees are under the custody of Rani police station, which is carrying out further investigation into the matter.
