Petrol prices on Monday, September 24, hiked by 11 paise per liter and diesel by 5 paise pushing the rates to new all-time high as the petrol price crossed Rs 90 in Mumbai.

According to oil companies, refinery gate price of petrol without any tax and commission is Rs 42. 04 per liter, while the same for diesel is Rs 45.34.

Prices of both petrol and diesel, on the rise since August on account of soaring global crude oil rates and a declining rupee exchange rate, are at an all-time high.

India imports about 80% of its crude oil requirement. International crude oil rates have been on the upswing since the last few months.
