GUWAHATI: In a first in India, Majuli from Assam will see the introduction of amphibious aircraft as a regular mode of air transport.
Manufactured in Japan this aircraft will be run by SpiceJet. Officials from SpiceJet and Airports Authority of India did a survey for the location of a hub in Majuli.
The flight will be operational from December this year.

The announcement of introduction of amphibious aircraft was made six months ago by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
