- Parliamentary Affairs Department - 0.79 crore

The government has focused on strengthening education and healthcare with substantial funding. Rural development and welfare of various communities have received strong financial backing. Environment, science, and technology continue to be supported, though with modest allocations. Tourism and start-up development remain key focus areas but have received limited funds compared to core infrastructure sectors.

The Assam government has reaffirmed its commitment to balanced development across sectors, with an emphasis on financial stability, social welfare, and economic empowerment. However, concerns remain over the relatively low allocation for tourism and technological advancements, which could be key drivers of long-term growth.

The Assam Budget 2025 reflects the government’s priorities in financial planning, education, healthcare, and rural development. While the Finance Department enjoys the largest share of funds, smaller allocations to tourism and innovation raise questions about the state's strategy in fostering long-term economic diversification.
