GUWAHATI: Voters at Agarwala Vivah Bhawan poll booth at Fancy Bazar complained of delay in voting due to faulty Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
The voters alleged that three non-operative machines had to be replaced till 4.00 PM leaving the people waiting in long queues for a long time.

A voter present at the poll booth, Rishab Jain, informed G Plus, “We have been standing in the line to vote for the past many hours, but the line is moving very slowly. Even the authorities weren’t telling us the reason behind the delay and people were getting agitated,”
He added that the voting also could not begin on time at 7.00 AM since the machine was not working properly and finally began 45 minutes late.
Further, the voters informed that the situation improved around 4.00 PM and the voting process became smooth.
