GUWAHATI: A resident of Zoo Road’s Spanish Garden in Guwahati became the first COVID-19 positive case from the city.
He is also the first case in Assam who does not have any links to the Nizamuddin Markaz congregation in Delhi. The total positive cases in Assam reached 24.
G Plus got in touch with the patient’s wife who informed that the patient did not have any travel history after March 1.

She said that Manish Tibrawala returned to Guwahati from Delhi via flight on March 1 and was in Guwahati since then.
“A lot of false reports are being circulated in the media about his travel history. I want to make it clear that he did not travel anywhere outside Guwahati after March 1.”
