One Pronob Bordoloi of Dergaon, has been arrested by Jalukbari Police on Wednesday for inflaming communal tensions through Facebook posts.
Bordoloi, on 8th August, in one of his post on Facebook wrote, "Asomiyar astitwa rakhyar hoke samagra Asom'te houk Nellie'r dore massacre. Barang purbotkoiu odhik bhoyaboh roopot," (For preservation of Assamese identity, let there be a Nellie type massacre all over Assam. Infact, it should be even more frightening).
In connection with the incident, freelance journalist Ashraful Hussain on 9th August filed an FIR at Jalukbari Police Station, and stated with proofs and documents that Bordoloi was igniting communal violence among people of Assam through his social media profile.

The accused was produced before the court, and has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody at Guwahati Central Jail.
