A mysterious explosion of a toy at Manipuri Basti earlier today created panic and fear among Guwahatians.
The incident occurred when a child was playing with the toy in the area and bystanders reported the sound to be that of an explosion.
The victim is a 10 year old named Devani Shree, who is a student of St. Nichols High School.

The blast has severely injured the right hand of the child and she has been taken to Arya Hospital for immediate medical treatment.
Paltanbazar Police officials reached the spot immediately and an investigation has been initiated.
