Ex-ULFA leaders Mrinal Hazarika and Jiten Dutta detained by police in connection with Tinsukia killings

GUWAHATI: According to latest news reports, Ex-ULFA leader Mrinal Hazarika has been summoned by the Panbazaar Police for questioning. 

Hazarika allegedly gave controversial statements on Hindu-Bangladeshis and threatened to use violence. The Assam Police suspects that he might be linked to the Tinsukia incident.

Former Commander of ULFA’s 28th battalion, Jiten Dutta, has also been detained by Gaurisagar Police for questioning. Dutta was on his way to Tinsukia from Guwahati and he, too, allegedly gave communally-charged statements against Hindu-Bangladeshi and threatened to pick up arms again.
