GUWAHATI: In the wake of the tragic incident in Hathras, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased victim.
Additionally, those injured in the mishap will receive ₹50,000 from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF).

BJP MP and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Dinesh Sharma, commented on the tragedy, emphasising the government's resolve to uncover the facts and bring the perpetrators to justice.
"The government has ordered for investigation,” stated Sharma.

“Let the report of the investigation come, there will be strictest action against the accused," Sharma further added.
