Here's a step-by-step guide:

•    Obtain Form 12D: Media persons eligible for postal voting must first collect Form 12D from the office of the District Election Officer (DEO) or Returning Officer (RO). Alternatively, the form can be downloaded from the official website of the DEO or Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

•    Submit Form 12D with certificate: The applicant must submit Form 12D along with a certificate from the Nodal Officer to the RO of the Parliamentary Constituency (PC) within five days of the notification of the election schedule for the respective PC.

•    Commencement of Postal Voting: Postal voting begins six days before the polling day and concludes three days before the polling day.

•    Casting the Vote: Upon approval of the postal ballot by the RO, the voter is informed of the designated voting center where they can cast their vote through postal ballot.

•    Important Note: Once the postal ballot is approved and cast by the voter, they are not permitted to vote at the polling station on election day.
