GUWAHATI: The Election Commission of India has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming Mizoram Legislative Assembly Election 2023. The election will encompass all 40 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) in the state.
The Election Commission's announcement marks the beginning of the electoral process for the Mizoram Legislative Assembly. As per the schedule, the Gazette Notification will be issued on October 13, 2023, officially kickstarting the election proceedings.
Candidates aspiring to contest in the election have until October 20, 2023, to submit their nominations. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 21, 2023, followed by the last date for withdrawal of candidatures on October 23, 2023.
The actual polling day is scheduled for November 7, 2023, and the counting of votes will be conducted on December 3, 2023. The entire election process is slated to conclude by December 5, 2023.
