An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale shook Guwahati at 10:22 AM, on Wednesday morning.
According to reports by European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the epicenter of the earthquake is Rangpur, Bangladesh, which lies 120 km W of Guwahati.

The earthquake was felt up to 600 km from its epicenter.
No major loss of life and property has been reported so far.
