Drugs Worth ₹4.5 Crore Seized In Cachar, Two Held

 

GUWAHATI: The Cachar Police conducted two separate anti-narcotics operations, resulting in the recovery of drugs worth an estimated ₹4.5 crore and the arrest of two individuals across today and yesterday, January 8 & 9.

In the first raid, at Chota Manda in Lakhipur, police seized 215 gram of suspected heroin valued at approximately ₹1.5 crore in the illicit market. One person was arrested in connection with the case. In the second operation at Jirighat, 10,000 YABA tablets were confiscated. The market value of the tablets has been estimated at ₹3 crore. Another individual was apprehended during this operation.

Both arrested individuals are currently in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
