GUWAHATI: In the new guidelines issued by the Assam Government for the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown, it has been mentioned that, "Sports activities without person to person contact and spectators shall be allowed."
Given that two of the stadiums – Nehru Stadium and Sarusajai Statdium - have been turned into quarantine zones in Guwahati, the question being asked is what are the sporting disciplines that will be allowed during the lockdown?

Dharma Kanta Mili, Director of Sports, speaking to G Plus said, "We will be having a video conference with the concerned authorities today and the decision on what to be allowed will be taken there."
As such the details of sports allowed to be played in Assam would be announced soon after discussion with authorities and stakeholders. No decision has been made at the time of writing this report.
