GUWAHATI: Manas Adhikari, a 54-year-old senior Director, Film & Video Editor of the Assamese flim industry committed suicide at his residence on June 2, late in the evening.
As per reports, the deceased was found hanging from a ventilator in his residence.

It should be mentioned that Adhikari directed the popular Assamese travel series, 'Bidexot Apun Manuh', one of the longest-running series on Doordarshan Guwahati from 2001-2009.
Adhikari had a long list of achivements including the Assam State Award for Best Editing (2007).
Police is currently investigating into matter. More detials awaited.
